RCSSA Golden Jubilee Celebration

The Renal Care Society of South Africa celebrated our 50th anniversary in style with a memorable event that was held at the Indaba Hotel and Conference Centre in Johannesburg on 22 November 2025. This event was the culmination of our Jubilee year during which we have not only honoured our rich history, but also celebrated the people who continue to carry that legacy forward. The Golden Jubilee celebrations provided an opportunity to reflect on how far we have come, while also reaffirming our shared commitment to the future of renal care in South Africa. The day started with a symposium which included excellent speakers and topics including a talk on the history of the Society by Prof Heilie Uys, a founder member of the Society. The symposium was followed by a silent disco which was great fun, and lunch at the Chef Boma restaurant. The day was rounded off with a dinner for invited guests and industry partners. Thank you to all attendees, speakers and sponsors, Aspen Pharmacare and Disa Life Sciences.

We wish to thank everyone who sent congratulatory messages. We have compiled a notebook containing all messages received. Please click the link below to view:
